Ralicke: Music
Billows
(Ralicke)
He fought his way
Through the blackest night
Lay down by the river
Where he hid from sight.
And as he lay down
Those broken bones
He begged the river to be shown.
He said
“I’ve been walking
For too many days
And my thirst feels beyond repair
And now I lay down beside you.
Oh river
Can you quench my despair?”
“I’ve been dreamin’
Across the desert wide
To the sand I bled
‘til my heart ran dry.”
In his heart he always knew
He’d find his way
To a better and true.
And as he slept up rose the sun
But to his eyes no light did come.
Blind from battle how could he fight
But with the fires
Of his dark insight?
And like lightening
That finds its mark
He hit the beast and split its heart.
“I’ve been dreamin’
Across the desert wide
To the sand I bled
‘til my heart ran dry.”
Now he’s at the river
Where flow’s only true
It won’t matter
Where it leads him to.
‘Cause at its head lies
The only stone
That from itself a light is shown.
